I really liked this movie a lot. It teaches an important lesson in what is most important in life. Ben Affleck was touching as the reluctant father to a precious little girl. It was sweet to see him eventually come around and fall in love with his daughter. She was SO adorable. George Carlin was hysterical as the grandfather. There are several great cameos throughout the movie, which also made it fun. For all of the men out there afraid to watch it, keep in mind Kevin Smith directed it, so its not a total chick flick. I think I particularly enjoyed it because I have a little girl and its fun to imagine her growing up to be a big girl! Its really a fun movie though. Its not only a traditional romance, but also demonstrates the love a father has for his daughter.
Netflix Synopsis: Ollie Trinke (Ben Affleck) is a young, suave music publicist who seems to have it all, with a new wife (Jennifer Lopez) and a baby on the way. But life deals him a hand he's not ready for when he's suddenly faced with single fatherhood, a defunct career and having to move in with his father (George Carlin). But a new love (Liv Tyler) and the courage instilled in him by his daughter (Raquel Castro) become all he needs to bounce back.
I liked this movie, too, but note to die-hard Kevin Smith fans: Although it has a few Smith-esque moments, this is definitely a more mainstream film. But watch it anyway. =)
