I enjoyed this movie. I wouldn’t say it’s a “must-see”, but it’s entertaining in a very cynical way. It’s categorized as comedy but it also has a dark side to it. Roger (Campbell Scott), is a witty, advertising copywriter who likes to think he can get anything he wants from women via the same manipulation tactics he uses in advertising. He’s a good looking guy who talks a good talk and the women usually stick around to hear what he says, but they can see that he is a player and move on quickly. His young nephew shows up in NYC after hearing that Roger is a ladies man and asks Roger to help him lose his virginity. Roger introduces him to his world of seduction techniques by sneaking him into an upscale Manhattan bar. By the end of the night, after seeing the darkest side NY's sexual underground, they both end up learning a lot about women. I think Campbell Scott did a great job playing the character even though the he is not a likeable man.

Jennifer Beals, Isabella Rossellini and Elizabeth Berkley also have small roles in this film.
