for everyone
Category:Movies
Genre: Romantic Comedy
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie so much. This is a great romantic movie that is about love of all kinds (romantic, friendship, family, etc). It stars a terrific ensemble cast including Hugh Grant, Liam Neesen, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley.....and many more. I thought everyone was really great. There are 10 different stories that take place in London and all intertwine in various ways. This movie is so uplifting. It will put you in a good mood and keep you happy for the rest of the day. Hugh Grant is adorable (as usual, in my opinion) and does a great dance number that cracks me up. I saw the movie when it first came out and then rented it again today so that my husband could watch it with me and he even liked it. So guys....don't be afraid to watch it.

I think everyone should rent it tonight if you haven't seen it already!

We just rented this on Friday, I thought the movie was very enjoyable as well. I was not a fan of all 10 love stories, but I did like most of them. The is definitely a light, funny movie that even guys will enjoy.

I liked it too, although I have to admit that I have a serious weak spot for Colin Firth, so no movie with him in it goes too wrong with me. His story was actually my favorite of all of the love stories. I loved the marriage proposal scene with subtitles. My only complaint was that there are a couple of story lines that I didn't think added much or tied in to the others. (I liked how the stories peripherally connected with each other.) I didn't care for the storyline about the guy going to America, or for the porn film actors.

And if they had gotten rid of those story lines, they could have made room for more scenes with Colin Firth. Maybe they could have gotten him to come out of a lake after swimming, with a dripping wet white shirt. Oops, I must be thinking of a different movie.....

lol...i like how you're trying to get more of colin firth in the movie! too funny...i would have liked more of hugh grant.

i agree about the porn film actors. that wasn't very interesting. i thought the guy going to america was kind of funny though. corny...but funny.

i loved the storyline with the little boy...what a cutie!

well tracy my dear--you convinced me--i just hope that this is not one of hugh grants boring signature roles of the bumbling idiot who is so cute and adorable so he gets the girl in the end and every one loved happily thereafter--dad

The dripping wet shirt/sprayed-on breeches scene from Pride and Prejudice was filmed at Lyme Park, which isn't very far from where I live. Fascinating images flash through my mind every time I see that place! (Maybe "flash" isn't the right word to use ...)

Great movie. Hands down, the best scene is tied between Hugh Grant dancing to "Jump, For Your Love!" and when the HOT Keira Knightly realizes (at the same time the audience does) what her husband's friend's intentions are. LOVED this movie. This movie was to me, what "Serendipity" was aiming for, but fell just short of. KUDOS!

I liked this scene, too. I also liked the scene when Emma Thompson's character opens the gift from her husband and then runs upstairs and loses it. It was sad, but so poignant. What a slime he was.

I think I need to rent this.

I really enjoyed this movie as well. It provided a great sampling of different types of love. I've watched a lot of British humor and well the whole porn story fit along those lines. Plus it was funny actually to maybe spark a flicker of love while imitating love.

This was a great movie, pretty solid.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie too!

I didn't care for the sub-story about the guy's trip to America either, but the porn stand-ins were hysterical. The actor is from the British (original!) version of The Office, and he is one of my favorites. Can't wait to see him in something else!

Got this on DVD, and it was a classic! Make sure to watch the deleted scenes. They are hilarious.
