This is a fact-based movie about Stephen Glass (Hayden Christensen), who was a staff writer at the well-respected magazine “The New Republic”. Glass fabricated many of his stories, which led him ruining his career in journalism. I thought this movie was fantastic. I think Hayden Christensen is a very good actor and will be around for a long time. He did an amazing job playing Stephen Glass. It killed me to watch him destroying his career because he loved it so much. I was drawn to his character. He was a very charismatic and likeable guy but he obviously had serious issues. It also made me re-think how much truth there is in what we read in print. The New Republic is a very important and influential magazine that supposedly did a thorough job of fact checking each story and even they let this happen. It was interesting to see how the fact checking process works. Steve Zahn ,Chloe Sevigny, Hank Azaria and Rosario Dawson also starred in this movie.
