This is one of my all time favorite movies. First of all Parker Posey is in it and I think she is amazing. She plays Mary, an irresponsible club kid who goes out and parties all of the time and basically makes money throwing illegal parties in her apartment. She gets thrown in jail one night and has to have her deceased mother's friend bail her out. Sick of having to always have to get her out of trouble, the friend gets her a job at the library where she works. Mary is surprised at how hard it is to work at the library. The movie is hysterical, the way Mary dresses is outrageous and there is a cute little romance thrown in as well. I know there was a sitcom based on this movie. Don't base your decision to see this movie on the sitcom. This movie really is worth watching. It's one of the few movies I own and I always make houseguests watch it at least once!
