Once again, another amazing book by Anita Shreve. Sea Glass takes place during the Great Depression. The main setting is the same house that was home for the characters in the book "Fortune's Rock" and "The Pilot's Wife". Several different charactersÂ’ stories are told throughout the book. The characters are all from very different socio-economic backgrounds. These characters are brought to life as they deal with the Great Depression, some for better and some for worse. They eventually all come together for reasons that never would have happened if it weren't for the hard times. As always, the endings of Anita Shreve's book are worth every minute of time you spent reading the book. I continue to be a great fan of Anita Shreve. I particularly enjoyed in this book how she would describe one moment in time from each person's point of view.
