for everyone
Category:Movies
Genre: Action & Adventure
After reading some other reviews today, I had to see this movie. I thought it was really good. I don't know if others would agree, but I think they did a great job of combining a violent action film with a romantic comedy. Yes, I even teared up and one point, but don't worry, I didn't actually shed any tears. I usually don't go for action movies, but I think I was able to enjoy it because there wasn't a lot of blood and guts and there was a lot of humor. Also, it doesn't hurt looking at two absolutely beautiful people for two hours. I thought the entire movie was fun, but I particularly enjoyed the last 1/3 of the movie. I really liked the fight scenes between Angelina and Brad. It's not often that I'm fond of violence, but it was nice to see a fight where the woman was giving as good as she was getting! I also finally liked Vince Vaughn again. I loved him in Swingers but haven't really liked much of what he's done after Swingers. I also found Adam Brody (Seth from The OC) amusing in his role. For those who saw it, did you notice the t-shirt Adam Brody was wearing in the last scene with Brad and Angelina? Funny, huh?

Synopsis from Netflix: Marriage has gotten stale for John and Jane Smith (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie), a husband and wife who don't yet know that they share the same undercover line of work: They're both guns for hire. Hiding their occupations has never been a hardship for either of them … until they discover that their next assignment involves them targeting each other! Can they go through with their respective missions, or will love prevail?

I just saw the movie this afternoon, and I have to admit I felt like leaving about half an hour in, but once they found out about each other, it got better. It's worth seeing, but if you miss it, it's nothing Netflix can't fix in a few months. PS This is the same response I wrote for Petula's review. PPS Yeah, I definitely noticed the t-shirt, and I thought it was cool to pay homage to Brad that way!

I saw this movie over the weekend as well, and I thought it was fantastic. Everyone that I went with also liked it a lot. The action scenes were really good, and the dialogue was great - lots of funny lines and scenes. I also agree that Vince Vaughn was very funny - not a big role, but he played it well. I want to go see The Wedding Crashers now with him and Owen Wilson later in the summer. I definitely, definitely recommend this movie!!!

Hi Tracy! Andrew and I loved the movie. I'm with you, I don't like a lot of violence in movies but this one was a fun action movie. The delivery of the one liners were great. And I loved Vince Vaugh in it too.
And yes, I caught the t-shirt Adam Brody was wearing :)

Can you tell us what is on the t-shirt or would that give something away?

no, it won't give anything away. it's "fight club"

We saw this movie last night and both of us really liked it. I, like Tracy, really enjoyed the conversations between Brad and Angelina. I also am not that fond of action movies, but adding humor to the mix made it more fun for us girls to watch. The chemistry between Brad and Angelina was certainly obvious. It would be neat to see them in a sequel. I highly recommend this movie.
