| Argentina was a great place to visit, although our trip was a little bit of a let down. Mostly because we didn't plan it properly. We were used to European travel, where you just map out your trip somewhat roughly and then just take the train wherever you want to go.
Argentine is a BIG ASS country without much of a rail system. You really need to plan your vacation in more detail, particularly if you want to see different parts of the country. We ended up spending too much time in a car as we drove from Buenos Aires down to Bariloche, back up to Mar del Plata (the beach area), and then back to Buenos Aires.
I think if we had to do it again, we probably would have focussed the trip mostly on the Patagonia area and explored more of the natural beauty of that part of the country. |
